The start of OnePlus Nord started at 7:30 p.m. IST with Carl Pei from OnePlus on stage as part of an augmented reality (AR) presentation. Pei first spoke about the OnePlus 8 series, which the company said was quite successful. Pei added that the company listened to community feedback before developing OnePlus Nord. Pei then went straight to the start of the day. According to the management, Nord brings the company back to its roots and offers excellent quality at affordable prices.

OnePlus Nord is the latest smartphone from the Chinese smartphone manufacturer. It is aimed at the middle class segment. It uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC. It is available in the colors blue marble and gray onyx. Other features of the phone include a 6.44-inch Full HD + Fluid AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz, up to 12 GB RAM and up to 256 GB onboard memory. The RAM is LPDDR4X, while the integrated memory is UFS 2.1.
In addition, there is a quad camera setup that is guided by a 48-megapixel main camera as well as an 8-megapixel wide-angle shooter, a 2-megapixel macro camera and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. The front hole cutouts include two selfie cameras – a 32-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera.
In addition, there is a 4,115 mAh battery on board that supports the Warp Charge 30T fast charging technology, which allows the phone to be charged from zero to 70 percent in just 30 minutes. You also get a built-in fingerprint sensor, 5G support and NFC.
In terms of software, OnePlus Nord runs on Android 10-based OxygenOS 10.5. It also comes with Google’s messaging, duo, and phone apps for a great and safe experience.
Pei then switched to OnePlus Buds, the company’s first truly wireless earbuds. The earphones have a battery life of seven hours on a single charge. The runtime increases to 30 hours when the battery in the housing is recharged. It has also been confirmed that the case supports Warp Charge. Thanks to Warp Charge support, the earphones get 10 hours of juice to charge in just 10 minutes.
Other features of the OnePlus Buds are a dynamic 13.4 mm driver and 3D stereo support with Dolby Atmos (or breathtaking sound quality with Dirac Audio Tuner support).
OnePlus has also shown that the earphones each weigh 4.6 grams and the charging case 36 grams. The earphones are available in white, northern blue and gray.
OnePlus North, OnePlus Buds price in India, date of sale
In terms of pricing, OnePlus Nord will start at Rs. 24,999 in India for the base model 6 GB + 64 GB. The 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB models are available at Rs. 27,999 and Rs. 29,999. OnePlus Nord will be available on August 4 through Amazon India and OnePlus.in. However, there is a catch. The base model with 6 GB + 64 GB will not be available until the beginning of September. For a month or more, Nord buyers can only choose between 8 GB RAM and 12 GB RAM models.
OnePlus Buds were priced at Rs. 4,990; However, the company has not yet announced the exact availability date.
